Sunday, April 5, 2020 we held our first virtual class on The Dharma of CultivationTransmitted by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Over sixty persons registered for this Dharma class from six countries and and at least 51 were able to participate. I am sorry for any technical difficulties anyone had and the experimental nature of how this worked (or didn’t). I learned a lot about what “ZOOM” does and does not permit, and am sure I have much to learn to take full advantage of this amazing tool.
As a result of the participation level and feedback from the class, I pledge to try my best to continue holding weekly classes or events to help us stay connected to the dharma and each other for at least as long as we are sequestered because of the Covid-19 virus. There will be two types of events:
- Every Saturday at 9:00 am Pacific Daylight Time we will have an “Open Mike” meeting of the Lemonade Sangha that will last up to two hours, but no longer. These meetings will enable you to share what you are doing to develop your Dharma practice (or start one for newcomers) in this situation and how you have made your lemonade out of your circumstances to avoid evil, do good, and help others. It is an informal opportunity to ask questions and share experiences. - Every Sunday at 2:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time we will hold a Dharma Class on some aspect of Buddha-dharma. We are continuing with The Dharma of Cultivation Transmitted by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III for at least the next class. I will be adding an article on the class held on April 5.
