
Shariras are holy objects in Buddhism, usually left as relics of an enlightened or holy person after that person’s cremation. They are considered to have certain powers and can multiply or disappear. They can appear in many shapes and colors. They may also appear in conjunction with another holy manifestation like when Buddhas bestow nectar. Five types of shariras are identified in the article listed below.
