In this 2021 released bilingual video we are able to see Wangzha Shangzun hold an audience with H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, chant sutras at the Holy Miracles Temple’s Dipamkara Buddha Hall to bless Buddhists who made lamp offerings, and answer a question to a group of students who came to pay homage to this holy being.
I think you will find His answer to be very interesting and maybe surprising. There is also a recent news article on Wangzha Shangzun from the Asian Journal that gives you background on the English speaking holy man and more background articles on Wangzha Shangzun and what being a “Shangzun” means.

After reading this article and watching the video I was very surprised because I did not realize before who Wangzha Shangzun is. But I also feel very much empowered and at the same time ashamed, not truly realizing that achieving the highest goal does not depend on outer circumstances but on the most inner will to truly cultivate yourself. I’ve just come to realize this again but on a more profound level.

Wangzha Sangzun has climbed the mountain for all of us to see. As a westerner, I found him to be is an inspiration as to the results that can be achieved from practicing correct and true Buddha dharma. After watching the video and reading the article, it seemed to me that his strength is proof of the transformational power of the dharma when body and mind align. Wangzun is a follower of the teachings of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. We are studying and practicing the SAUMOL in class with our Master Zhaxi Zhuoma, a disciple of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. We are fortunate that causes and conditions have come together for this video and SAUMOL to be available for us now. I am humbled by this experience and am deeply grateful for the holy teachings that have been offered. With gratitude and compassion I bow to our Master Zhaxi Zhuoma for her tireless efforts to bring the Buddha dharma to English speaking westerners who earnestly seek the teachings of HHDCBIII. I respectfully bow with reverence to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III for teaching us the correct holy dharma and for being a support to our daily cultivation and practice.
