The Learning from Buddha College and Seminary–What’s New-May 4, 2022?

We have added new courses and enhanced and developed courses that were already part of the curriculum. CLICK to visit Reba’s visitor and user guides if you need help in navigating the Learning from Buddha College & Seminary (LFBCS) website.

D44 & D44(A)-Esoteric Dharma (for Beginners): This discourse is available now with a video of the Q & A from a January 29, 2022 class that you can watch as a PREVIEW without becoming a member of the Learning from Buddhism College and Seminary. This is a very important course for anyone wanting to understand esoteric Buddhism. It offers background on sharira and the rainbow body and what is required to be able to learn and practice esoteric dharma and introduces the concepts of Inner and Outer Tantric Initiations.

D13 & D13(A)-Cutting-off Attachment to Self: Both parts of this discourse are now available including the videos from the April 30 class. This course provides a reading of a preliminary translation of a Dharma Discourse by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III on “One Needs to Cut Off the Attachment to Self in Worldly Matters First to Begin Self-Cultivation” given in 1995 in Taiwan. The course focuses on what it takes to cut off attachment to self in both the worldly and the ultimate sense and what happens if you do and if you don’t. It includes the bardo, ghosts, spirits, consciousness and many related concepts as well as a discussion of the “Straw Man” Dharma and Dream Yoga.

DCB12-The Dharma of Cultivation: Four very short videos on “Impermanence” and “Reincarnation” from a 2020 Lemonade Sangha class on “What Is Cultivation?” have been added to this course that feature questions asked and the discussion that followed.
