The cat who cried after receiving the Vajra-Bodhi Pill in Hong Kong in December 2015 has passed on after a fight with cancer. In December 2015, Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche and Gesang Luosang Rinpoche led a meditation retreat in Hong Kong that included a “Liberation of the Animals Ceremony” where twenty dogs, eight cats, two birds, and four turtles received the refuge vows and received a sprinkling of holy water and a Vajra-Bodhi Pill to help develop their affinity for the Dharma and to be able to continue to listen to the Dharma in their next life. All of the animals were well behaved and some had listened to the Dharma Discourses with their masters before they took refuge. One pensive kitty, Silly B, even cried after taking the Vajra-Bodhi Pill.
When Silly B’s masters attended another meditation retreat this weekend at the Holy Vajrasana Temple, they informed us that Silly B had passed on just before they left Hong Kong. Many other who had participated in that ceremony and/or the 2015 Hong Kong retreat also attended this weekend’s retreat along with other students.

I believe Silly B is able to continue to listen Dharma in the next life.
