Sausage Biscuit Breakfast Bake

Sausage Biscuit Breakfast Bake.

This a very tasty and easy savory breakfast pastry that can also be made with fruit for an equally good sweet version. I like the bit of sweet taste with the maple syrup, but it is fine without it. I have only used turkey sausage, but I am sure it would work with any kind.

  • 1/2 lb Turkey Sausage
  • 4 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 Can Crescent roll dough
  • 1 small Egg
  • Everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 Cup Shredded cheese
  • 1/2 Tbsp Maple syrup (Optional)

Directions

  1. Fry sausage, drain escaped oil, and mix in cream cheese and syrup. Grease baking pan and spread half of can of crescent rolls on bottom and spread sausage mixture on top. Sprinkle cheese on top. Top with remaining sheet of dough. Beat egg and brush on top. Sprinkle with seeds. Preheat oven to 375F and bake 16-18 minutes until golden brown. Serve with salsa and scrambled eggs.
  2. AIRROAST: bake at 365F degree for 9 minutes.
  3. Try sweet version with fruit instead of sausage and sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar instead of “everything” bagel seasoning.
  4. VERY GOOD!!!!!

Makes 8 small servings.
