If one has not realized emptiness of self, how could one be unimpeded by sentient beings and insentient things?” To realize other-emptiness, one must achieve self-emptiness. Thus, one cannot deviate from the true Buddha Dharma of Shakyamuni Buddha.

Which doctrine of emptiness offers the highest insight? Middle Way, Other Emptiness, or Consciousness-Only school? The Buddha Master answers this question:
The view of other-emptiness is the highest insight, surpassing that of the Middle Way and Consciousness-Only schools. However, everyone should look into their heart and ask themselves something. It is not a matter of uttering theories about the view of other-emptiness. Is your actual realization the emptiness of yourself or other-emptiness? In other words, you should ask yourself whether what you realized is self-emptiness or other emptiness. As to theories for discerning the truth, people who practice Kalachakra Vajra Dharma or the views most advocated by the Jonang school can provide lengthy commentaries and discussions on the profound discernment of truth through wonderful doctrines of absolute truth. However, you should know that all such words are nothing but one word—reasoning. How does one actually attain emptiness? Have you attained it?
Therefore, to attain the highest and perfect Kalachakra Vajra state through the Kalachakra ritual of 100,000 recitations and subsequently enter the absolutely secret practice of the Vajra Substitute-Body Dhyana, the first prerequisite is not the uttering of empty words of reason about the other-emptiness view. Rather, the prerequisite is self-emptiness. Only then can one transition to other-emptiness. That is, if you have not opened a hole on the crown of your skull, how can your consciousness be used externally? Furthermore, when your consciousness is used externally, all conditioned dharmas, such as buildings, mountains, rocks, land, oceans, and sky, will not impede you. At that time, you look within yourself and see that the other-emptiness state is empty whether you want it to be or not. It is necessarily empty, empty like an illusion, empty like dew and like lightening, empty in reality.
