We will start at the beginning of the discourses H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III gave on a 1995 trip to Taiwan where He presented various aspects of the Buddha Dharma. In this discourse He discusses what Buddha Dharma is and for what it is to be used. He explains that although what we know as “Buddhism” is not a religion, the truths discovered by Shakyamuni Buddha over 2,500 years ago are called Buddhism, but it is not a religion. You could call it a system of understanding the nature of reality and how to live within that system. In this discourse He discusses the four great elements plus the great elements of empty space and consciousness and in so doing, introducing the concepts of emptiness, impermanence, and suffering. He also talks about what we learn when we learn the Buddha Dharma including the six great supernormal powers.
This discourse was read on ZOOM at 9:00 am on Tuesday, October 19 and the following Saturday, October 23 at the same time.
