A new course has been added that is suitable for beginners and anyone wanting to understand and practice the Dharma expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. D06-Main & Preliminary Practices is based on a Dharma Discourse given by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in 1995 on the Trip to Taiwan on “The Differences between Main and Preliminary Practices.” It was given in response to a student asking about that relationship. The Buddha Master used the opportunity to expound on the “Enlightenment Guide” found in the back of His Commentary on the Heart Sutra. The Buddha Master’s more recent book that is based on that commentary and a series of discourses related to it, Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra, also has such a guide. We have included it as an essential course (DCB26-How to Realize Prajna) for the LFBCS programs

The Buddha Master also provides excerpts from the Vimalakirti Nirdesa Sutra (V-01), discusses the origin and nature of Holy Nectar, and explains many of the preliminary practices. It also provides examples and background information on the “main” practice that is also essential: what it is, what is required, how you can do it, and what happens when you do it. It even talks about drinking alcohol. Now that D06 is available, I am adding it as D06(A) as a prerequisite to DCB35. D06 is only available to those having either a Buddhist Studies or Xiuxing Seminary membership, but the text itself may be heard in the free “AUDITING” program in D06(A).
