The dry river bed of the Mojave River located on the east side of the site of the future Ancient Buddha Temple and the planned Buddhist City located at Holy Heavenly Lake in Hesperia, California came to life on February 14, 2019 when the water started gushing above grade and filling the valley with a torrent of fast flowing water as shown above. The World Buddhism Association Headquarters (WBAH) issued a public announcement concerning this advent, noting that it coincided with a public hearing held by the City of Hesperia where the Holy Heavenly Lake is located “… to discuss a decision on whether a Buddhist city should be build at the Holy Heavenly Lake and the land should be divided up for various Buddhist sects to build temples in the city.”
