Although the temple is still safe, the nuns had to evacuate on Wednesday, January 8 and the fire has only been 3% contained. Around 19 square miles have burned in this, the second largest of the Los Angeles area fires. There is also a prediction of another Santa Anna blast coming. So far there are ten known deaths, but more projected. The map below shows the fire evacuation area and the adjacent fire warning area. Please send your prayers and blessings for all who are impacted by this disaster. The temple is located just above the intersection of Penn St and N. Raymond at1730 North Raymond.
