If you want to hear a reading of a preliminary English translation of one of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha’s most definitive works–His Truth Sutra, I will be reading it at both our Holy Vajrasana Temple near Sanger and Fresno, and also at Heavenly Holy Lakes in Buddist Town in Hesperia, California. Also known as the Sutra on Understanding Definitive Truth, this work has not yet been published in English and can rarely be heard. It is now chanted in Chinese at many events and temples. I believe this version is somewhat different from the earlier translation that I have, but this may be all we have for some time as I understand it will not be released in English until after the much longer Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra is released. They are both representative of the Buddha Master’s most profound teachngs on prajna.
In this sutra, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III enters a state of dream-yoga samadhi and receives a request from two ancient Buddhas to discuss the true meaning of Buddha Nature. A wise being arrives with many questions and what follows is a dialogue between His Holiness and this being.
The translation I have is not complete nor is it authorized by anyone, but it does reflect what I heard from many translations of the discourse given by the Buddha Master on a certain trip to the East Coast with several senior disciples. Please understand this is only for reference and to provide a taste of what the Buddha Master left us and a desire to seek a better translation when it is available. I cannot share this on the internet, but I will do my best to share what I have both at the Sanger temple and later at Buddhist Town in Hesperia.
