Morning Chanting and Meditation

Chanting at the Holy Vajrasana Temple at Sanger.

If you can’t make it to the temple every morning to join us in chanting and meditation, you may join us on ZOOM. We have a regular group now that chants with us every morning at 6:00 am Monday through Sunday.

On Sunday, March 7, we started listening to the Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation (SAUMOL) during that time and continued on March 14 with the third mind-essence, the “Most Excellent Enlightenment Emptiness-Practice Oceanic Mind Essence.” On March 21 we finished the entire text that we have in a preliminary English translation (CLICK for more information on SAUMOL schedule). We will continue with readings from the SAUMOL every Sunday to enable as many as possible to learn of this wonderful dharma. If you have already registered and been approved to join the group, you may use the link you received after you registered to enter the event. You must register in English. You need to abide by all the protocols we must observe to hear these very holy and precious teachings. CLICK for protocols. WARNING!! If you try to enter the session after we have started, you will not be let in and if you do not observe the protocols you may be removed from the session.

Monday through Friday at 6:00 AM PDT we will be chanting our praises to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas; reflecting on what we have learned from the Buddha and how well we are cultivating ourselves; meditating; and dedicating merit to living beings everywhere. Saturday mornings we do the same, but devote more time to our meditation. You are welcome to join us for any or all of these days and receive ZOOM link to join these sessions.

CLICK to register for ZOOM link to these early Sunday sessions.

You can see our chants HERE, but we will post the ones we use on-line as well during the service so that you can join. During the week we recite and have time to reflect on many of the “homework” dharmas that are part of our Learning from Buddha practice. On Saturday, however, our focus is on meditation.

To see the start time in your timezone, use this timezone converter. On the right hand side put the start time (6:00 AM) and “Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)” or “Pacific Standard Time (PST)” in the two boxes. The left top box should show the start time in your local timezone.
