We will continue our detailed on-line study of Learning from Buddha, the recently released in English sutra by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, next Sunday afternoon, November 8, at 2:00 pm PST.
CLICK to register. You will be given instructions on how to join the class.
This Sunday we will review our study of the first of the three parts of this text on cultivation: “If You Learn Dharma but Do Not Cultivate Yourself, You Cannot Attain Accomplishment” and start Part II on tantric or yidam practice, “If You Cultivate Yourself but Do Not Learn Dharma, You Cannot Generate Realization Powers” and implementation. We will finish with the third part “If You Do Not Put into Practice the Lessons You Have Heard on Cultivation and Dharma, It Will Be Like Trying to Scoop up the Reflection of the Moon on Water,” but we will spend more time to discuss and hopefully answer questions on the first two parts. Since it is essential that we have a thorough understanding of this important original sutra, we will take as much time as we need to discuss, debate, and reflect on this text, I am not predicting how long this series will take. Anyone may join the class. On-line links to this short text are provided below.
Please read the English translation of this very important little book Learning from Buddha at the World Buddhism Association Headquarters or on the Holy Vajrasana Temple websites.
