Sunday we continued our discussion of the first of three lessons on cultivation and started the second lesson on Dharma. We discussed the various Pure Lands and who goes there, how to get rid of negative karma, and who is a Holy Being as well as the necessity to cultivate yourself and rid yourself of attachments and judgmental mind to become enlightened.
We also finished reading the first part of the second lesson on the need to learn and practice dharma, what true Buddha Dharma is, and just what the concept “Learning from Buddha” means. One of the participants shared the story of Chuda leading to a discussion on skillful means and practice.
