We finished our discussion of the first part of Learning from Buddha on cultivation with a discussion of the “Parable of the Conjured or Phantom City” and what HH Dorje Chang Buddha III wants from His disciples and what He does if we try to deceive Him.
Most of the discussion was on the introduction and background of the Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation (SAUMOL) and the “Xiaman Most Excellent Oceanic Mind-Essence” from that text. We covered how the SAUMOL Dharma is available to everyone from those who are able to receive the highest levels of Jingxing Practice initiation to those receiving outer tantric initiation to those without either a guru or any initiations including non-Buddhists. We will focus on how this works in our next class discussion on Zoom this Saturday, December 2, 2023. The rest of the discussion focused on the Seven Dharma principles expounded in the Xiaman Mind-Essence–what they mean and how you practice them. Next week we will explore how to apply “Shifting the Mind Practice” at different levels of practice and begin the “Most Excellent Enlightenment Emptiness-Practice Oceanic Mind-Essence.” CLICK for information on how to join us.
