The Learning from Buddha College and Seminary–What’s New-April 20?

We continued to add a number of new courses to the curriculum this week. Please go to our  User Guides for a video about the site and to learn how to become a member, enroll in classes, and navigate the various classes, once enrolled.

The new courses include:

D12 & D12(A)-“Cutting Off the Twenty Dharmas Relating to Ordinary Feelings”: Discourse given by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in 2008 that explains why we need to cut off attachment through either desire or aversion to twenty situations or emotions that keep us in samsara.

D14 & D14(A)-“To Attain Accomplishment and Liberation, One’s Crown Must Be Opened”: This 2009 discourse given by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III explains why we must open our crowns to attain accomplishment and liberation & how that can happen.

D15 & D15(A)-““Will Supernormal Power End the Cycle of Birth and Death? Qi-Gong Is Different from Buddhism”: In this discourse H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III explains the role supernormal powers play in obtaining enlightenment and compares qigong practice to Buddhist Practice. It provides many examples including the magic performances of Las Vegas performers and what happens during a Kuan Yin Great Compassion Empowerment Dharma Assembly.
