I would like to offer more access to the SAUMOL for those who would like to be able to practice this wonderful Dharma, but who can not understand the Chinese text and do not have access to an English text. Reba Jinbo Rinpoche will read the preliminary translation I have of the contemplation parts plus an opportunity to do a 30-45 minute meditation session with the group. To be able to do this, you will need to hear the complete text that we will practice at least two times and the rest of the SAUMOL at least once. You need this to make sure you understand how to contemplate and how and when to do the “Shifting the Mind” practice. You also need to understand that this is still an unapproved translation that probably contains errors. We will publish any revisions as soon as they are available. Even with its possible errors, it will still give you a good foundation for learning this important Dharma.
We started this program March 22, 2021, with sessions weekday evenings, Monday through Friday, at 6:00 pm. It will take less than two hours, but if you do not have that much time then, you can practice with us until we do our meditation and then continue the rest of the program on your own. This would work for those who want the freedom to meditate longer (or less) than the group. You do need to complete the Vajrasattva and Concluding Practices. You may still receive more of the mantras when you come to the temple or attend one of my classes on the SAUMOL. I will not transmit them over the internet. If you already have any of these mantras from this Dharma or another practice, you can certainly use them as well.
You should study the “Seven-Dharmas System” on how to listen to Dharma and be willing to abide by the ZOOM Protocols for listening to Dharma and attend the Sunday Morning sessions to be able to participate in this program. You are NOT allowed to record any part of this or other Dharma programs.
