Celebration of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha Day Events Cancelled

Proclamation establishing H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha Day.

The H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum just announced that the Dharma Assembly of Releasing Captured Lives for Auspice and Bliss In Celebration of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III Day Cannot Be Held Due to the Pandemic This Year.

On January 19, 2011, Mr. Vincent C. Gray, Mayor of Washington DC, the capital of the USA, proclaimed that the Nineteenth of January, 2011 to be the “His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III Day”, and called upon everyone to salute H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III! This is the only Buddha Day proclaimed by the government in this world. However, to comply with the stay-at-home order issued by the government that mandates no congregation to be held, the museum cannot hold an assembly to celebrate the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day this year on January 19th, 2021.  You may, however, host events including Dharma-listening sessions and releasing captured lives in accordance with the local governmental regulations pertaining to the pandemic and return the merits of such benevolent deeds for a peaceful world, stable societies, and driving away disasters, such that people will become safe and sound, blissful and auspicious at the soonest.
