I finally added the questions and printed out a copy of the text and the questions for the third part of the text part of Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra. That only leaves the fourth and last part of the text and all six courses are complete. The text and questions were printed so that those students who want to use the Dharma Protector Chapel for their solitary retreats are able to also study the text during their retreats. No power or light source is allowed in the chapel–not even the kindles. Someone recently asked if they could light incense outside the chapel and let it burn in the chapel, but even that is a source of light or power. We use perfume instead.

This volume of the Heart Sutra starts with ” . . . No suffering, no accumulation, no cessation, and no path; . . .” and goes to “. . . no wisdom, also no attainment. With nothing to attain therefore, . . .” It includes sections on “The Four Noble Truths,” prajna, qigong, the five vidyas, and repentance. It also includes the three steps required for the final project.

We are a little more than half way through DCB23, which we should finish early next year or maybe sooner.
